50 visitors from all over Asia met in Taipei to participate in deep-dive training sessions and comprehensive presentations
The SPE Industrial Partner Network hosted the first SPE roundtable in Asia for an industry-leading exchange about the opportunities offered through the Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) technology. The conference focused on the status of SPE with an emphasis on SPE protocols, international standardization as well as products, and applications for SPE, leading to productive discussions on target applications and market introduction.
Whether in the morning sessions on SPE technology or the use-case approach in the afternoon, the participants, who had joined from various Asian countries, received a deep insight into SPE application in the process industry, especially on Advanced Physical Layer (APL) from design to installation guidelines. In addition, the discussions were opened for other industrial application opportunities, both in existing applications or in potential new implementation. Here, hosts and participants, focused on the value SPE adds to key areas of application in the industrial environment and building automation.
In the following sessions the discussions were opened for SPE applications in different other industries and markets. The exchange on useful applications of SPE technology was the most important topic for the participants. Experts and participants were in a lively exchange about possible areas of application based on some applications that have already been implemented on the market or are currently under development.
More than 50 participants took part in the SPE roundtable event, delivering positive feedback, while requesting further roundtable meetings around the world.
The SPE Industrial Partner Network is based in Rahden in Westphalia and is an equal alliance of companies that promote Single Pair Ethernet technology as the basis for rapid and successful growth of IIoT. The aim of the association is to establish SPE on the market as a new Ethernet technology in the sense of a comprehensive ecosystem with all necessary components.
